Chelsea Flower Show – 2017 – Stand No. 328

The Grangewood team have been working in partnership with Grosvenor Estates to construct an ‘apartment’ building for the RHS garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

In under two months we have turned a Nigel Dunnett concept drawing into a physical two storey timber frame structure clad in Accoya timber and Designclad stone tiling with a green roof. The structure was preassembled in the Nave at St Marks, deconstructed and transported to Chelsea on the 8th May to reduce the build time on site. The building will be completed this afternoon.

The building features an external balcony that will be used for filming The One Show during next week. We also expect a royal visit during the show as the Queen is due to walk through the RHS Garden.

This project is not what people would naturally associate with Grangewood and goes to demonstrate our flexibility and versatility and that our customers can trust us to deliver whatever their construction needs may be.
