A classic Grade II listed house, with all mod cons

We worked closely with English Heritage to bring this Grade II listed home right up to date, whilst renovating and incorporating its original features.

Cornices, mouldings, internal doors – all needed restoration. The stone cantilevered staircase – one of the most important features of this type of property – was also completely restored.

Fabric wall coverings and restored original features

Walls were finished with fabric and all wooden surfaces – including the Mark Wilkinson kitchen – were hand-painted, not sprayed, for period authenticity.

Major construction work included extending the basement right underneath the courtyard and into the adjoining mews house. Within this extended space, we created a luxurious spa and steam room, complete with marble walls and floors and mosaic cornicing.
